The Penguins have made alot of changes to their roster this summer, especially on defence.  The acquisitions of Martin and Michalek will definately help Pittsburgh this offseason.  This late into the summer their is still a number of big name RFA's unsigned. With the likes of Bobby Ryan, James Neal, Peter Mueller, and Marc Staal, to name a few, still unsigned.  According to Capgeek.com the Penguins have just under 1.5 million dollars in Cap space available. While the need for a top six winger like Mueller, Neal or Ryan is what the Pens would likely be looking for Staal might be the easiest to acquire.  The Rangers currently have 6 defenceman under contract next season and under 500k in cap space.  If the Penguins were to move Goligoski with one of the forwards mentioned above for a cheap forward, the could offer Staal an offer sheet in the range of 3 million dollars, only having to forfeit a 2nd round pick.  Staal would give the penguins a solid defence heading into next season and could be just what the Penguins need for another successful playoff run.
