Richard Jefferson looked like he had high hopes when he came to San Antonio to play for the Spurs during the 2009-10 season. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case, as he struggled in the team’s system.
So he opted out of his contract.
But now, according to the Associated Press, the small forward has re-signed with the Spurs. The veteran swingman would have made $15 million next year, but it seems he will be making even more now.
Jefferson averaged 12.3 points per game, his lowest total since his rookie season. If Jefferson wants to lead this veteran core to a championship, he’s going to have to play a lot better.
