Game One of the 2010 NBA Finals starts Thursday night between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics.

This will mark the 12th time in history that these two teams have met each other in the NBA Championship.

This is the rivalry of the NBA.

These are the two franchises of the league.

The Celtics have won 17 NBA titles. The Lakers have won 15. The next best team has six titles.

The Celtics and Lakers combine for more than half of the league's titles. They are the powerhouses of the NBA.

Its interesting, however, that while they have both enjoyed great success in this league, one of these teams has gotten the majority of the success when they face each other.
