2011 NBA Mock Draft: Detroit Pistons Select Brandon Knight

Rodney Stuckey may not return as the Pistons point guard in 2011-2012.  They may choose his replacement in the 2011 NBA Draft in the person of Brandon Knight out of the University of Kentucky.

Knight was a clutch player at Kentucky and was a leader on a Wildcats team that made a run in the tournament before bowing out to the eventual champion UConn Huskies.  If Knight joined the Pistons, he could join three UConn alumni in Richard Hamilton, Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva.

Knight would provide the Pistons with a talented guy to take the ball up and distribute to their other scorers.  The Pistons and guys like Hamilton, Gordon, Ben Wallace and Tracy McGrady could provide Knight with a wealth of information about how the NBA works.

Knight has yet to hire an agent and can still withdraw from the draft, but should he enter, expect the Pistons to think long and hard about choosing their point guard of the future.
