With one week to go until Thanksgiving, it’s safe to say the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are thankful for how their performance has given them a nice place in the AHL’s East Division standings.

Penguins Defeat Bears to Stay Perfect Away from Home

The Penguins defeated their intrastate rival, the Hershey Bears, last Friday night to keep their perfect road record intact.

WBS came back from deficits of 1-0 and 2-1 to take the victory. Ben Street had four assists in the 5-4 overtime win, while Carl Sneep had two helpers.

The Pens were on their way to a 4-3 win in the third period, but Hershey’s Mattias Sjogren scored on a power play with 2:24 remaining in the game. The power play came from a Joey Mormina interference call at 16:29.
