Rick Nash News: San Jose Sharks Reportedly Have Offer on the Table

While everyone waits for Ryan Suter and, more relevant to Rick Nash, Zach Parise to sign with new teams or rejoin each of their respective teams, the Columbus Blue Jackets still have Nash on the trade block.

The San Jose Sharks have not been linked to Parise as one of the teams to have offered him a contract, but the team has shown its interest in Rick Nash since trade deadline came and went.

At the time, the Blue Jackets wanted Sharks' third-line center Logan Couture as part of a package in return for its All-Star winger—that fact has not changed.

Since the trade deadline, not many teams have shown themselves to be serious bidders for Nash's services.

The Ottawa Senators recently tried to work out a deal for Nash, but the high-scoring winger used his no-trade clause to end any hopes of the Senators gaining his talents.

The list of teams willing to make an offer for Nash may grow after Parise finally puts pen to paper, but as of now, the San Jose Sharks have submitted an offer to the Jackets, according to Kevin Kurz of CSN Bay Area.
