After surrendering a 2-0 third-period lead in Game 4 of their first-round Stanley Cup playoff series against the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Detroit Red Wings made no such mistake on Saturday night.

Back on hostile turf, the Wings rode a 28-save shutout performance by goaltender Petr Mrazek to a 4-0 win over the host Lightning to take a 3-2 win in their best-of-seven series. The lower-seeded Red Wings will get a chance to close out the series on home ice and advance to Round 2 on Monday night at Joe Louis Arena.

After their come-from-behind win in Game 4, Tampa Bay started strong on Saturday but by the midpoint of the first period, the momentum had begun to shift in Detroit's direction. Riley Sheahan converted on the power play with 17 seconds remaining in the first period to make the score 1-0—a goal that would prove to be the winner.

Drew Miller added his first goal of the playoffs in the second period, then Pavel Datsyuk added an insurance marker on the power play in the third and the Wings capped off their night with an empty-netter by Danny DeKeyser.
