Rick Nash scored his first two goals of the series and Henrik Lundqvist stopped 38 of 39 shots to lead the New York Rangers to a 5-1 series-evening win on Friday night at the Amalie Arena.

The Rangers and Lightning are now tied 2-2 in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference Final with the series heading back to New York’s Madison Square Garden Sunday night.

The story heading into Game 4 was Lundqvist, the Rangers elite netminder who had looked anything but in giving up six goals in back-to-back losses that allowed the Lightning to seize the series lead.

Lundqvist played his best game of the series when his team needed him the most, and Ben Bishop is now the one who has plenty of questions to answer after giving up five goals for the second straight game on just 24 shots.

Nash opened the scoring by beating Bishop with a backhand on the breakaway late in the first period on a play set up by a gritty clear from Carl Hagelin and a picture-perfect pass from Kevin Hayes. The Rangers carried a 1-0 lead after the first 20 minutes. 

The Lightning came out buzzing in the second and had Lundqvist under siege.
