Pressing Question Of The Day: Will Roberto Luongo Relinquish The Captaincy?

This hockey starved city of Vancouver never stops to say hi; instead it jumps directly to the question.

Instead of greeting Hart and Art Ross Trophy winner Henrik Sedin with how’s your summer been, or golf game or a number of other queries, it was right to the Canucks Captaincy.

Of course you’re not going to get any response that resembles an interest in this topic, instead the usual  - Roberto is a great captain, best I’ve ever played under, he’s our leader, and you know the normal programmed response you would expect from a team guy.

Now I’m not going to go into story number 55 on who should be captain, been there, done that, but instead focus on another point.

Somewhere in all this Luongo, has been contemplating this captaincy issue while training in Florida with former goalie coach Ian Clark.  Lou is a proud, determined man who will have to have an answer by the time he arrives in Vancouver because you know that’s going to be the first question out of the mouths of the media.
