Philadelphia Flyers vs. Detroit Red Wings: Live Score, Highlights and Analysis

January 28th, 2014 by Isaac Smith Leave a reply »
The Detroit Red Wings visited the Philadelphia Flyers looking for their first win in Philly since 1997, but it wasn't to be as the Flyers dominated the Red Wings from start to finish.

The Flyers got a pair of goals from Scott Hartnell and single goals from Adam Hall, Claude Girouxand Sean Couturier and really never gave the Red Wings a chance after the first period.

The Red Wings held their own in the first period of this game, but without Pavel Datsyuk, Henrik Zetterberg and Johan Franzen, but the difference in offensive firepower was obvious and thorough.

Detroit couldn't get their special teams going, as they went 0-4 on the power play, but gave up a goal in two chances to the Flyers. The Wings have now lost back-to-back games to the Flyers by a combined score of 11-3.

Flyers 5, Red Wings 0. Final
