During the 2008-2009 NHL season, the Philadelphia Flyers traded Scottie Upshall to the Phoenix Coyotes for then-NHL penalty minutes leader, Dan Carcillo.

"Carbomb" became an instant fan favorite on Broad Street for his aggressive, explosive playing style.

A restricted free agent this summer, Dan Carcillo was not given a qualifying offer by general manager Paul Holmgren.

Yesterday when the free agent market opened, the Chicago Blackhawks were the team which landed the feisty free agent.

Though Carcillo's enthusiasm had settled down this past season due in part to passive coach Peter Laviolette, the spark plug does not leave Philadelphia without a handful of memorable events.
