Datsyuk to be Evaluated Before Blues Game Friday, March 20 Brendan Savage of MLive reported that Datsyuk will be evaluated Saturday for Sunday's game vs. St. Lous to see if he's able to play.

"[Red Wings head coach Mike] Babcock said Datsyuk has lower-body injury. Out at least next two games. Wasn't sure if he might return Sunday," relayed Ansar Khan of MLive.com.

"Datsyuk not skating today, after taking day off yesterday with a few others," Khan noted earlier.

Datsyuk, 36, has appeared in 57 games this season and has tallied 58 points (23 goals, 35 assists). These numbers are improvements across the board from last season when he appeared in 45 games.

A cornerstone for the Red Wings during his career, Detroit was wise to play it safe with Datsyuk this week, especially if it leads to him taking the ice on Sunday.
