NHL Skills Competition 2012: Tyler Seguin and Best Young Stars to Watch

The 2012 NHL Skills Competition will showcase the game's best stars, and the enormous amount of rookies and young players who will take part in the festivities will help fans get to know tomorrow's superstar talents.

The league has done a wonderful job of ensuring at least one rookie will participate for each team in all of the six events at the skills competition.

Let's take a look at three young stars you must watch at the skills competition Saturday night in Ottawa.

 

Tyler Seguin, C, Boston Bruins

The Boston Bruins sophomore forward is the most talented offensive player on the defending Stanley Cup champions, ranking second on the team in points and first in goals.



His captain at the All-Star festivities is his Bruins captain, defenseman Zdeno Chara. Chara has chosen Seguin to take part in the accuracy-shooting and elimination-shootout competitions on Saturday.

Seguin has amazing speed and his dangling ability is world-class. He will be very exciting to watch in the shootout event, which is the final competition of the evening.
