NHL Referee Stats

Should NHL referee stats (for judgment accuracy) be made available to the public by the league?

This way, not only does the league have a better idea of who the better ones are, but so do the fans.

It would allow the league to the better ones more frequently for the playoffs, especially deep in the playoffs.

Of course they would keep playoff stats too as opposed to just regular season.

I think referees might try harder to get the calls right if their performances were public record.

The NHL might object as to it being too costly to monitor, but we the fans would be glad to do so on line and submit obvious infractions to be reviewed by a panel.

And it would be easy to record the number of games officiated.

I have added a poll question to my article, "Too Many Good Goals Waved Off?" because it won't let me include one here.

Please check it out to answer which stats should be kept.
