NHL Predictions 2012: Why Michael Grabner Will Have Another Great Season

Michael Grabner had an amazing season last year. He scored 34 goals and 18 assists to total 52 points. And this was coming from a rookie.

He was one of the Rookie of the Year nominees along with Logan Couture and Jeff Skinner. Ultimately, the Hurricanes' Jeff Skinner ended up winning the Calder Trophy.

Michael Grabner is ready to enter his second full year in the NHL, and I can't see this one being much different than his first.

In fact, I believe Grabs will build off his success last season and score between 30-40 goals and reach about 60 points.

Grabner is one of the NHL's fastest skaters, beating out Edmonton's Taylor Hall in the speed competition at last year's All-Star Game.

Along with that, he has a great shot and a nose for the net, resembling Patrick Marleau of the San Jose Sharks.

Grabner is still young at age 24, and the team around him is getting better as well, so he'll have some more scoring possibilities.
