Max Pacioretty Injury: Updates on Canadiens Star’s Status and Return

The Montreal Canadiens have already clinched a playoff spot, so that's at least one major hurdle cleared. The team still has something to play for, though, and with the postseason so close, Montreal can't afford to have a player like Max Pacioretty go down with an injury.

Pacioretty to Visit Doctor on Wednesday Tuesday, April 7 The Canadiens' official Twitter feed reported that head coach Michel Therrien told reporters "We'll have news on Max (Pacioretty) tomorrow after he sees his doctor in Montreal."

On April 6, Ian McLaren of The Score passed along a report from Richard Labbe of La Presse, who said that Pacioretty has an upper-body injury and will travel with the team back to Montreal and undergo further evaluation at that point.

On April 5, the Canadiens announced that Pacioretty would not return against the Florida Panthers on Sunday.

According to Dhiren Mahiban of Pro Hockey Talk, Pacioretty seemed to suffer a head injury after falling into the boards. TSN Radio's Sergio Momesso wasn't encouraged by how Pacioretty appeared to be affected ...
