Lightning vs. Penguins: Game 6 Live Score, Highlights for 2016 NHL Playoffs

The Pittsburgh Penguins knocked off the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-2 on Tuesday night at Amalie Arena to force a decisive Game 7 in the Eastern Conference Final.

Pittsburgh dominated the first two periods and held a 3-0 edge through 40 minutes on goals by Phil Kessel, Kris Letang and Sidney Crosby.

The Lightning struggled to get out of the gate and registered only 11 shots on rookie goaltender Matt Murray—who was back between the pipes after Marc-Andre Fleury got the call in Game 5—before the third.

Brian Boyle netted a pair of goals in the final frame to get Tampa Bay back into the game, but it couldn't find the tying marker.

Bryan Rust's breakaway goal with 2:08 left in regulation all but ended the comeback charge, and Nick Bonino added an empty-netter 1:14 later.

Game 7 is scheduled for Thursday night at Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh.
