Jason Garrison ripped a shot from the point past Thomas Greiss at the 1:34 mark of overtime to lift the Tampa Bay Lightning to a 2-1 win over the New York Islanders in Game 4 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series on Friday night at the Barclays Center.

The Lightning lead the best-of-seven series 3-1 with Game 5 scheduled for Sunday afternoon in Tampa.

Nikita Kucherov once again netted the game-tying goal in the third period for the Lightning, beating Greiss shortside off a feed from Tyler Johnson to even the score at one apiece and ultimately force the extra session.

Kucherov's overtime-forcing goal in the third was his second in as many games, and the Islanders now face the prospect of needing a road win in front of a hostile crowd to keep their season alive.

Beating the defending Eastern Conference champions three straight is a tall task.

Kyle Okposo opened the scoring on the power play for the Islanders early in the first period, New York's lone marker of the game.
