Vancouver Canucks center Henrik Sedin is expected to miss the rest of the team's games prior to the NHL All-Star Game on Jan. 31.

Canucks Awaiting Further Word on Sedin's Status Tuesday, Jan. 19 The Canucks passed along comments from head coach Willie Desjardins on Monday, who noted Sedin will be sent home from the road trip after suffering an injury in Sunday's win over the New York Islanders.

Vancouver general manager Jim Benning told TSN 1040 radio the team was awaiting further information about the ailment, per Jason Brough of NBC Sports: "We'll find out more today, but it looks like he might be out for a bit."

Sedin was injured on a hit by the Islanders' Mikhail Grabovski, who received a five-minute major penalty and a game misconduct on the play.

The Sedin twins, Henrik and brother Daniel, remain the driving force behind the Canucks' offense at age 35. Daniel has 41 points in 46 games while his now-injured brother has 37 points in 44 contests. No other player has tallied more than 22 points.
