Henrik Sedin Injury: Updates on Canucks Star’s Lower Body and Return

Vancouver Canucks center Henrik Sedin left Dec. 17's game against the Philadelphia Flyers with a lower-body injury.

Sedin Active vs. Lightning Tuesday, Dec. 22 Corey Long of NHL.com reported that Sedin will be in the lineup against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday after missing two games.

Sedin Comments on Return Tuesday, Dec. 22

"[The injury is] much better and I should be good tonight," Sedin said, per Long. "You never want to test something in a game. I'm going in there feeling 100 percent."

Sedin's Presence Vital to Canucks Offense Sedin has been a stud for the Canucks in 2015-16 thus far, as he is second to only twin brother Daniel in team scoring with 31 points.

Henrik is a three-time All-Star, and he won both the Hart Memorial Trophy and Art Ross Trophy as the NHL's MVP and leading scorer, respectively, in 2010.

Vancouver has very little in the way of forward depth, as its highest-scoring forward outside of the Sedins is Jannik Hansen with 20 points in 35 games.
