Henrik Lundqvist, New York Rangers Blank Toronto Maple Leafs, End Two-Game Skid

Tonight marked Henrik Lundqvist's first shutout of the 2010-2011 NHL season and it was a well-deserved one at that.

Big Brian Boyle scored his fourth goal of the season off of a beautiful backhand (his third against the Leafs) and Ryan Callahan continued his goal scoring streak to four games after scoring on a penalty shot giving him four goals and seven assists in nine games. 

Lundqvist played a spectacular game stopping 36 shots. The Swedish netminder has been well above average the past few games after having a rocky start to the season.

Girardi played one of his best games this season notching an assist and blocking four shots(the Rangers blocked an enormous 37 shots tonight). Many were worried that the young defenseman was overpaid this offseason. However, Girardi, who is now second in the league in blocked shots, has earned every dollar so far.
