Edmonton Oilers: Sam Gagner Out for Remainder of Season, Joins Whitney and Hall

The hits just keep on coming for the Edmonton Oilers.

After losing Taylor Hall to a high ankle sprain last month, and having already lost Ryan Whitney in December, TSN is now reporting that Sam Gagner had exploratory tendon surgery after last night's game against Washington and will be shut down for the remainder of the season as a precaution.

This could potentially be a serious injury for a skill player like Gagner, who is reliant on his hands to create offense.

As it stands right now, Jordan Eberle is on pace to lead the team in scoring with a whopping 43 points. Did I mention that he missed a month back in January?

I think that this is really the only appropriate response for Oilers fans right now.
