Lord Stanley's Cup continued its annual tour of the world's mouths this weekend by crashing a Canadian wedding with Chicago Blackhawks center Andrew Shaw.
DNAinfo.com's Justin Breen (h/t Puck Daddy's Greg Wyshynski) reports Shaw stopped by Roblin Lake in Ontario for some sun and boating—and to surprise a bride.
Faithful guardian of the Cup Philip Pritchard was on hand as usual to document things.
Shaw brought the Cup to the waterside wedding of Kate Cleaver, a family friend.
Shaw and Cleaver took pictures together, assuring that at least one wedding this year would have images other people will actually want to see.
Afterward, Cleaver wrote to Breen via email and explained how this fortunate encounter went down:
