Unhappy with getting checked into the boards midway through the third period of Tuesday night's game, New Jersey Devils left wing Bobby Farnham wanted to get even with the St. Louis Blues.
Once he got up, he went after the nearest Blues player, which happened to be Dmitrij Jaskin. And then all heck broke loose.
St. Louis players rushed to Jaskin's defense immediately, with two of his teammates taking down Farnham. The fighting wasn't limited to just Farnham and a couple of Blues players, though.
Except for the goalies, just about everyone on the ice got into it to some degree.
Farnham got a five-minute major for interference and received a game misconduct penalty. New Jersey's Jordin Tootoo (fighting) and St. Louis' Kyle Brodziak (roughing and game misconduct) and Ryan Reaves (fighting) were also penalized for their roles in the brawl.
