Bruins’ Patrice Bergeron and Tyler Seguin to Represent Canada at Spengler Cup

Boston Bruins stars Patrice Bergeron and Tyler Seguin have been selected to compete for Team Canada at the annual Spengler Cup held in Davos, Switzerland. The NHL lockout will allow Team Canada to select a number of NHL stars who are usually unavailable for the event.

Bergeron and Seguin will be joined by fellow stars John Tavares, Jason Spezza and Matt Duchene. Like Seguin and Bergeron, the three have spent the lockout playing in Switzerland's National League A. 



The two Bruins forwards have found overwhelming success in Switzerland, each averaging more than a point per game. Playing alongside Patrick Kane for EHC Biel, Seguin currently leads the Swiss National League A and all locked out NHL players in goals with 24. Bergeron, meanwhile, has managed his own offensive explosion with 28 points in 20 games for HC Lugano.
