Boston Bruins Prospects Alex Fallstrom, Matt Grzelcyk to Face off Wednesday

Whether New England hockey fans that cross over to college hockey happen to bleed crimson, scarlet or neither, they will have at least one point of interest when Harvard visits Boston University this Wednesday. The nonconference battle of Beanpot schools will pit Harvard senior Alex Fallstrom against BU freshman Matt Grzelcyk, both of whom are Bruins prospects.

Through a relatively light 12 games to date, Fallstrom has suited up 11 times and leads the Crimson with nine points. Grzelcyk is one of the Terriers’ top playmakers and one of the nation’s most productive defensemen with a 2-10-12 scoring log in 16 college games played.

Both parties will enter this matchup with a chance to convert a variety of negative energy.

Fallstrom has had a hand in each of Harvard’s four goals over their past two games, though the results were a 3-2 overtime loss at Princeton last Friday and a 6-2 letdown Saturday at Quinnipiac.
