The St. Louis Blues trounced the Dallas Stars 6-1 in Game 7 on Wednesday night in Dallas to advance to their first Western Conference Final since 2001.

The Blues got off to a fast start and never looked back.

Robby Fabbri opened the scoring early in the first period with a power-play goal.

Paul Stastny and Patrik Berglund added their own markers just 1:34 apart, the latter coming with just 3.4 seconds remaining in the first period, to extend the Blues' lead to three goals after 20 minutes.

The Fabbri-Stastny-Berglund line combined for nine points on the night.

David Backes, Troy Brouwer and Vladimir Tarasenko added goals to salt away the win.

Brian Elliott, who was pulled in Game 6 after allowing three early goals, rebounded well to stop 31 of 32 shots in the victory.

Patrick Eaves scored the lone goal for the Stars.

St. Louis now awaits the winner of Thursday night's Game 7 in San Jose between the Nashville Predators and the Sharks.
