Blackhawks vs. Bruins: Battle of the Goaltenders Will Decide Stanley Cup Final

The 2013 Stanley Cup Final is officially upon us as the Boston Bruins prepare to battle the Chicago Blackhawks. While the star playmakers may garner the headlines, this one will come down to a different breed of athlete.

The goaltenders will decide which team wins this year's Stanley Cup.

There is no shortage of goal scorers and facilitators, as both teams have stars that have helped to carry them to their current positions. From established superstars to opportunistic contributors, the stage is set for the likes of Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, David Krejci and Nathan Horton to break through.

With that being said, the Blackhawks and Bruins will only go as far as their goaltenders take them.

Fortunately, that hasn't been an issue for either squad, as Corey Crawford and Tuukka Rask have been superb. From shutting down stars to pitching shutouts, we've seen it all from two of the top netminders in the NHL today.

They'll need to bring their A-game to win this series and take home the Stanley Cup.
