The Vancouver Canucks are 28 games into this lockout-shortened season and have a 13-9-6 record, good for seventh place in the Western Conference.

With only 20 games remaining and the team mired in the traffic jam that is the West, it would be easy to say that every game is important, because they are.

The gap between the third place Minnesota Wild and the 13th place Columbus Blue Jackets is a mere six points. Or to put it another way, the gap between home-ice advantage and a lottery draft pick is a mere six points.

With that in mind, no points can afford to be squandered. However, here are five games for the Canucks that stand out over the rest of the schedule.
