So much money was spent so quickly in NHL free agency this year it almost feels like it was a one-day flash sale. Other moves are trickling in, but it's been relatively quiet since the barrage that began July 1.
The pickings are already relatively slim, but there are some bargains to be had. Many teams have made their big moves, but others are waiting in the weeds for the best possible deals. Even some of the best teams have some gaps to fill, and the summer will pass quickly.
The best of the rest will not be idle for long, so once teams sort out their salary-cap situations and assess what they may have internally, more signings will soon follow.
