Wizards’ Otto Porter Doesn’t Even Budge on a Tony Snell Back Cut

March 3rd, 2015 by Tristan Thornburgh Leave a reply »

Houston Rockets superstar James Harden earned Internet fame with his mixtape of terrible defense, but this missed assignment may have topped all of that.

In the final seconds of the Chicago Bulls' 97-92 win over the Washington Wizards on Tuesday, Bulls swingman Tony Snell cut toward the baseline while Aaron Brooks dribbled down the game clock. Washington's Otto Porter, meanwhile, didn't move a muscle until Snell was practically at the three-point line on the other end of the court.

Porter doesn't have a reputation as a bad defender, so perhaps he had an "Oh God, I left the front door unlocked, didn't I?" moment here.

Luckily for Porter, Snell missed the shot. However, Pau Gasol snagged the rebound and knocked down the game-clinching free throws.
