The Golden State Warriors enter the All-Star break as owners of a 48-4 record, with the corresponding .923 winning percentage setting an all-time NBA record at the break, per Elias Sports Bureau (via ESPN Stats & Info).
The only other team to enter the break with a winning percentage above .900 was the 1966-67 Philadelphia 76ers, who carried a 39-4 record (.907 win percentage) into the midseason juncture during their own historic campaign.
That 76ers squad would finish the regular season with a 68-13 record, eventually defeating the San Francisco Warriors in six games in a surprisingly competitive NBA Finals.
The Warriors had a modest 44-37 record of their own that season yet still managed to nab the top spot in a feeble Western Conference.
Unsurprisingly the 72-win Chicago Bulls of 1995-96 are responsible for the third-best record at the break in league history, with their 42-5 making for a .894 winning percentage.
The teams in fourth and fifth place, the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers (.891) and 1996-97 Bulls (.875), also took home championships at the end of the season.
