Ty Lawson Suspended: Latest Details, Comments and Reaction

The NBA suspended Houston Rockets point guard Ty Lawson on Thursday for three games, stemming from one of his DUI arrests last year, per Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.

The NBA confirmed Lawson's suspension, per Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated. 

According to Feigen, Lawson's three-game suspension is for his July 2015 arrest in California.

This is the second time during the 2015-16 season that Lawson has been suspended for his past DUI problems. He sat out two games in December stemming from his 2014 DUI charges, per Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.

Lawson has battled problems with alcohol and substance abuse, being arrested four times for suspicion of DUI dating back to his college days at North Carolina, per Joseph Serna of the Los Angeles Times, who cited media reports.

According to TMZ Sports, Lawson pleaded guilty to charges stemming from a January arrest in Denver and is scheduled to be sentenced this month.
