Ty Lawson Injury: Updates on Nuggets Guard’s Ribs and Return

The Denver Nuggets currently sit 10th in the Western Conference standings, and things aren't going to get any easier with star point guard Ty Lawson injured.

The Nuggets revealed that Lawson broke his rib on Saturday night:

Lawson is the straw that stirs the drink for a Denver offense averaging almost 104 points per game on the season. His ability to facilitate at a lightning-quick pace makes the Nuggets very difficult to guard in the open floor and difficult to predict in the half court as well.

On the season, Lawson is averaging 18.3 points and nearly nine assists per game. Despite being just 5'11'', he's also muscled his way to nearly four rebounds per game.

Lawson's injury doesn't sound serious, but it's one that will have Denver holding its collective breathe until it's resolved.
