The Dallas Mavericks outscored the Toronto Raptors 25-15 in the fourth quarter Tuesday and finished off a 99-92 comeback victory.
Monta Ellis led all scorers with 20 points, and Dirk Nowitzki had 18. DeMar DeRozan paced the Raptors with 18 points, but he also trudged to just 7-of-21 shooting.
Rajon Rondo got himself benched in the third quarter after seeming to ignore coach Rick Carlisle's instructions to call a timeout. The pair then exchanged a few heated words, and Rondo magically disappeared from the game in favor of Devin Harris.
The Raptors (37-20) finished up a brutal stretch of four away games in five nights, and they came away with only one win. They will rest up in advance of a home tilt against the Golden State Warriors on Friday.
The Mavs (39-20) finish a tough back-to-back when they visit the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday.
