Thomas Robinson Claimed by 76ers: Latest Contract Details, Comments and Reaction

Thomas Robinson seemed keen to sign with the Brooklyn Nets after he was waived by the Denver Nuggets. Instead, he'll reportedly be joining the Philadelphia 76ers, who claimed him off of waivers before Tuesday's deadline. 

The 76ers confirmed the move.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports initially had the report. Wojnarowksi later provided cap details.



Wojnarowski added, "Robinson's $3,678,360 salary pushes the Sixers over the salary floor. Denver is no longer responsible for paying Robinson's salary."

Marc Stein of ESPN also reported the following:



Robinson was the fifth overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft by the Sacramento Kings but has made little impact in his career, spending time on four teams (he's also been a member of the Houston Rockets, the Portland Trail Blazers and the Denver Nuggets) in his short career. 

He was most recently traded to the Nuggets from Portland in the Arron Afflalo trade before being cut by Denver. In 32 games with Portland this season, he averaged 3.6 points and 4.2 rebounds in 12.2 minutes.
