The Truth and KG (the Horse Not the Nets’ Stars), Won a Photo Finish Horse Race

The Truth and KG are a package deal it seems. Even when the two NBA stars aren't actually people, but a horse who beat 7-2 odds to take a close race. 

Let's attempt to explain. 

Boston.com reports on a recent Saratoga race that featured a winner named after former Boston Celtics stars. 

Paul Pierce affectionately referred to as The Truth and Kevin Garnett (KG) left the franchise they helped to win a championship when they were traded to the Brooklyn Nets this summer. 

The duo's monikers were cleverly smashed together for a horse that seems to have as much fight as its namesake. 

With 7-2 odds in Race 7 on Monday, The Truth and KG started off the race in second place, not far back from Bernie the Maestro (5-2) who got out to an early lead. Race-favorite Hello Lover, at 6-5 odds, fell back at the beginning but was able to make up ground heading into the final stretch.
