Newly acquired Milwaukee Bucks forward Steve Novak is out for the year after only three games with his new team.

Latest on Novak's Knee Injury Sunday, Feb. 28 Novak has suffered a sprained left MCL, and he will miss the rest of this season, the team announced Sunday.

Novak signed with the Bucks after reaching a buyout with the Denver Nuggets, who acquired the 32-year-old sharpshooter in a trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder on Feb. 18.

Novak signed with Milwaukee on Feb. 21, returning to the state where he played his college ball. He played four years with the Marquette Golden Eagles and was a freshman on the 2002-03 Marquette team that made the Final Four.

The Bucks became Novak's ninth team since he was taken with the 32nd pick in the 2006 NBA draft. He's played in 459 career games—starting in six of them—and is a 43.1 percent career three-point shooter.

Novak played three games with the Bucks and averaged 2.3 points per game. He played a season-high 11 minutes in his final game on Saturday, scoring four points and making one three-pointer.& ...
