Stephen Curry Injury: Updates on Warriors Star’s Leg and Return

Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry left Tuesday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers with a lower left leg injury and didn't return. It's unclear if he'll be ready to play against the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday.

Latest on Curry's Playing Status Wednesday, Jan. 6 Diamond Leung of the Bay Area News Group reported Curry is questionable for Friday's game.

Curry Comments on Injury Wednesday, Jan. 6 Curry told reporters after Tuesday's win that the leg injury will take four weeks to completely heal, but he's "not sitting out four weeks."

Curry also noted, "It's not something I'll have to worry about long term."

Curry Injuries Only Hurdle in MVP Campaign Curry has dealt with calf and shin injuries over the past week-plus, but indications were neither was particularly serious. The NBA's reigning MVP missed two games at the end of 2015 due to the calf ailment before he was forced to exit the Warriors' Jan. 2 contest against the Denver Nuggets with a left shin contusion. He returned on Jan. 4 against the Charlotte Hornets.
