Steph Curry to Be the ‘Keep Pounding Drummer’ for Panthers at Super Bowl

Stephen Curry is about to take his Carolina Panthers fandom to another level.

Hours before Super Bowl 50, the team announced the Golden State Warriors superstar will serve as the "Keep Pounding Drummer," which is a big deal for the Panthers.

Here's what it means, per the team's official site:

Immediately following the coin toss before every home game, an honorary drummer rallies the entire stadium by hitting the massive six-foot Keep Pounding Drum four times to signify four quarters. Keep Pounding Drummers come from a variety of backgrounds and occupations, but all have overcome a great trial or adversity that has not only made them strong but also pushes them to make others around them stronger.

Curry, who grew up in Charlotte, served as the drummer back on Sept. 20 against the Houston Texans.

That was no Super Bowl, though.

We'll see if the Panthers can make good on their end of Curry's "a win and a win" statement:
