Washington (38-28) trailed by 18 at halftime and as many as 21 during the third quarter, but Wall and Paul Pierce took over. Wall netted 20 of his points after the break, while Pierce poured in 12 of his 17 to help the Wizards win the second half 67-33.

Bradley Beal, Rasual Butler and Marcin Gortat chipped in 14, 14 and 13 points, respectively.

DeMarcus Cousins tallied 30 points for Sacramento (22-43) but fouled out with more than five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. He added six rebounds and five assists.

Excluding the center, the Kings connected on just 26-of-60 field-goal attempts and 6-of-19 from long distance. Sacramento underwent a pair of six-minute scoring droughts throughout the second half.
