Ronnie Price Injury: Updates on Suns Guard’s Toe Surgery and Recovery

Phoenix Suns guard Ronnie Price will be out for at least three weeks after having surgery on his right great toe.

Price's Surgery Is a Success  

Friday, Jan. 15 Price underwent successful surgery, the Suns announced Friday. He did not play in Tuesday's loss to the Indiana Pacers, but the Suns expect him to be back around the All-Star break.

The 11-year veteran is in his second go-around with the Suns. He's averaging 4.2 points in 14.8 minutes per game this year.

Price missed the final two games of the calendar year with the same toe injury. He played in the team's next three contests but eventually decided surgery was necessary.

Price spoke to Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic about how the injury was impacting his play:

The way I play and the way I move, I’ve got to be able to feel like I can help my team out. If I can’t push off and be effective defensively with my movement, then I feel like I’m hurting my team. I don’t ever want to hurt my team.
