Rodney Hood Injury: Updates on Jazz SG’s Head and Return

Utah Jazz point guard Rodney Hood will not return to Wednesday night's game against the Toronto Raptors after suffering a "minor" head injury, according to Sportsnet's Rob Wong.

Jazz Lose Another Shooting Guard Wednesday, Mar. 2 Hood's departure from the game in the second quarter was felt immediately by the Jazz, as team radio announcer David Locke pointed out:

Hood has shown flashes during his young career that he could be something special for the Jazz. The 6'8" guard entered Wednesday night ranked third on the Jazz in scoring with 14.9 points per game.  

He combines a physical frame with solid skills on the ball along with a decent outside game. 

In order for him to take the next step in his career though, he'll have to improve on a three-point shooting percentage that has been at 36.5 percent in each of his first two years.

Regardless of his development, he's been one of the more consistent scorers in a Jazz offense that is one of the worst in the league. Entering Wednesday night, the Jazz averaged 98.0 points per night. Only the Los Angeles ...
