Detroit Pistons point guard Reggie Jackson is dealing with tendinitis in his left knee. It is unclear exactly when he will be able to return.

Van Gundy Comments on Jackson's Recovery Timeline  Wednesday, Oct. 5 Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy told reporters that Jackson "is going to be out for a while." Van Gundy said that while Jackson isn't expected to undergo surgery, he could be out six-to-eight weeks. 

Latest on Jackson's Playing Status Wednesday, Oct. 5 ESPN's Marc Stein reported that there is internal concern that Jackson could miss extended time, which has reportedly led to the Pistons looking for fallback options at point guard.

According to Keith Langlois of Pistons.com, knee tendinitis has been a recurring issue for Jackson, and the team is taking a cautious approach with him leading up to the season.

Latest on Jackson's Practice Status Wednesday, Oct. 5 Rod Beard of the Detroit News reported that Jackson participated in the "very light demonstrations" the Pistons went through on Tuesday.
