Rashard Lewis to Mavericks: Latest Contract Details, Analysis and Reaction

After two years of contributing off the bench with the Miami Heat, Rashard Lewis will look to once again make an impact for a contending team next season with the Dallas Mavericks.

The two-time All-Star was once one of the top scorers in the league, topping out at 22.4 points per game with the Seattle Supersonics during the 2006-07 season. He started to slow down a bit with the Orlando Magic before transitioning to more of a secondary role with the Washington Wizards and Miami Heat.

Lewis did come through with big performances for the Heat, though, especially in the playoffs. He contributed to the 2012-13 title and almost won a second one this past season, but the squad could not defeat the San Antonio Spurs in the final. Still, he added 5.3 points per game in 18 appearances (eight starts) for the Eastern Conference champions.
