Postcards, Pics and Tweets from the Miami Heat’s Day at the White House

The defending champion Miami Heat visited the White House on Jan. 28 for an audience with President Barack Obama. Naturally, cyberspace exploded with excitement.

Championship-winning teams have been visiting the White House for decades now, and being congratulated by the President is something that anyone is going to find exciting. For some reason or another, professional athletes find this activity exciting, and the Heat were no exception.

However, there was more to the day than just meeting President Obama. The players got an extensive tour of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., which provided everyone with some good fun.



Everyone was ready to roll from the start, but not before making sure they were dressed appropriately. Star guard Dwyane Wade went the extra mile and actually posted a picture of his suit on his Instagram. Believe it or not, he and girlfriend Gabrielle Union looked very presidential themselves, at least when Wade's bright sneakers were taken out of the equation.

Oh, and let's not forget the fun they had in front of Abraham Lincoln's portrait.
