Paul Pierce Thanks Boston for Iconic Celtics Career on Twitter and Instagram

Paul Pierce spent the past 15 years playing for the Boston Celtics. Now that Pierce has been traded to the Brooklyn Nets, he is taking plenty of time to thank all the people who supported him for well over a decade.

In order to properly tell all his fans what he thinks of his days in Boston, Pierce created an Instagram account and shared all his favorite pictures:



Pierce flooded his followers' timelines with tweets, each linking out to an Instagram photo that relived his days with the Boston Celtics.

The first was a simple look at what Pierce means to the history of the Celtics. He's a link to the past, bridging the gap between Larry Bird and the next great Celtics star:



From there it was just a few general photos of him in green and white, showing off some beautiful shots of Pierce in his prime:



And of course there was a picture from the famous commercial of Pierce sitting in the rafters at TD Garden, yearning to hang up an 18th NBA Championship banner:
