Houston Rockets guard Patrick Beverley injured his ankle against the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday. His official status for All-Star weekend has yet to be announced.

Beverley Reportedly Sidelined for All-Star Weekend Thursday, Feb. 11 Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, citing league sources, reported that "Beverley will not travel to Toronto to defend his skills competition title at All-Star Weekend." He added that "Beverley wants to rest the ankle over the All-Star break for the Rockets’ final push to make the Western Conference playoffs."

ESPN's Calvin Watkins previously noted that "Beverley said he will get some treatment on his left ankle...before heading to Toronto."

Beverley Unable to Shake Injury Bug The 2015-16 campaign had been on mired with intermittent injury issues for Beverley, who has never played more than 56 games in a season. He went down with an ankle injury in November which he reaggravated in January. In addition, Beverley missed another game in January while visiting his sick grandmother.
