Nets Head Coach Search: Latest News, Rumors Surrounding Position

The Brooklyn Nets have reportedly offered their vacant general manager position to San Antonio Spurs assistant general manager Sean Marks, per The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski, and the move could have a serious ripple effect on who the next head coach is.

Marks Could Bring Messina To Brooklyn Tuesday, Feb. 16 According to the New York Daily News' Frank Isola, "there is a very good chance" the Nets could hire Spurs assistant coach Ettore Messina as the team's next head coach if they ultimately hire Marks.    

Last week, ESPN.com's Mike Mazzeo connected the dots and noted Messina would be a logical choice for the Nets because he previously coached Russian side CSKA Moscow, which used to be owned by current Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov.
