This NBA season is off to a hectic start. We've already had some seriously unfortunate injuries to the likes of Derrick Rose and Marc Gasol, a former second overall pick in Derrick Williams get traded and plenty of other trade rumors have been flying around all season.
This is certainly one way for the NBA to make the early season relevant.
As always is the case, there are rumors that have legs and those that don't. I'll try to sort that all out with the following three rumors.
Omer's Odyssey
Rumors about a possible trade involving Houston Rockets center Omer Asik are far from new. After the Rockets acquired center Dwight Howard, a trade bullseye landed on Asik.
Asik's transition to being Howard's backup has not gone smoothly. Asik has been seeking a trade, and the Rockets have apparently had no desire to give into Asik's demands. On the court, Asik has found himself glued to the bench at times. However, since not getting off the bench for a second consecutive game on Nov. 16, he's seen his minutes steadily increase.
